Handmade Glass Memorials

Solid glass orbs and hearts containing a swirl of ashes from your loved one

Each memorial requires only a small amount of ashes. Ashes are swirled with a combination of colors, which is then sculpted and encased in a clear layer of glass. After being rounded and shaped, the memorial undergoes a special cooling process called “annealing”. Turn around time for memorials from time ordered is about 4-5 weeks.

FAQs

How big are they? Are there different sizes?

The memorials I make come in 3 sizes (small, medium and large). Small size is about 2-3” diameter, medium is 3-4”, and large is around the size of a softball, or about 4-5”. Since each orb is sculpted by hand, sizing isn’t always exactly to the number.

I have a color combination in mind, can you do that?

Yes! I order colors upon request, so if you are thinking of colors you don’t see here, feel free to contact me and we will make that happen.

How much ashes are needed for each orb? Will there be left over?

Each orb only requires about a teaspoon full of ashes, which means there will almost always be ashes leftover. Any leftover ashes will be sent safely in a sealed bag along with your order.

What is the price range?

Prices range from $85-$170 per orb, depending on size and amount of orbs ordered. Discounts apply for orders of 3 or more orbs.

How do I get you the ashes?

If you’re local, I’m happy to arrange to meet in person. If you’re not local, ashes are completely safe to send to me in the mail! Upon completing your order request, you will receive more information about how to properly mail the ashes. Unfortunately, I do not ship outside of the US at this time.

How long does this process take?

Usually about 4 weeks from the time ordered, you will receive your memorial(s). This includes hot sculpting time, cooling time, as well as potential grinding and polishing (coldworking) of the glass. You will be notified if there are any delays in this process.
